Naturally Alarm New Zealand will immediately relay customers all verbal request for Police assistance but whether it is via the 111 service or by direct electronic means Alarm New Zealand can provide technology to forward all your alarm messages direct to the New Zealand Police. Connections are either from dedicated approved Police Grade alarm panels or approved Duress alarm devices interconnected to a security system communicator. Customers with an Alarm New Zealand Police-Call service also receive an Fire-Link service and Medic-link based on a quality 111 service connection absolutely FREE, therefore our customers achieve far better value with three quality services for the price of one.
For many years the N.Z. Police have had a national policy not to attend electronic alarms due to the high rate (95%) of false call which resulted in the waste of valuable Police resources. In 1992 Alarm New Zealand engineers developed "Police Grade" alarms which turned this situation around that such engineered Alarm systems are over 80% reliable. Our company has a good working relationship with Police throughout the country and we have a procedure that enables our operators to call the Police based on information received from a "Police Grade" electronic alarm system.
