For many years the N.Z. Police have had a national policy not to attend electronic alarms due to the high rate (95%) of false call which resulted in the waste of valuable Police resources. In 1992 Alarm New Zealand engineers developed "Police Grade" alarms which turned this situation around that such  engineered Alarm systems are over 80% reliable.
