ALARM NZ supports a range of GPS
mobile phones including "simple button" versions designed for the elderly
and young children. Once the button is activated our 24/7 Alarm monitoring centre immediately reacts and can locate the Alarm Phone
holder using a GPS mapping system and/or by calling the user on hands free
speaker phone.

All GPS ALARM phones supplied
by ALARMNZ support A-GPS (Assisted Global Positioning System ) which is an
accurate method of locating Alarm Phone users who activate the onboard panic
button. Each phone stores the last good satellite/ground station fix in
memory and should the GPS ALARM phone holder enter a building which cuts off
satellite reception, then that last location is used as a starting place to
recover the client.
Some GPS ALARM phone models include clinical
standard heart rate/blood oxygen level monitors, temperature and movement
sensors that can report the physical condition of the phone holder in real
time and alert the monitoring station should an abnormal situation occur.
Virtual GPS ALARM phone applications are also available for most
smart phones and can downloaded to existing hardware free when you select an
ALARM phone monitoring service for at least 12 months.
