ALARM NZ fire detectors that are designed to incorporated as a accessory to any of our Alarm Panels. Our thermal option provides a a stable fire detector for cooking and areas without the threat of false alarms.

ALARM NZ distributes a photoelectric type of smoke detector and a thermal heat detector suitable for installation in most locations. The smoke detector consists of a sealed chamber that allows air and smoke to pass through but doesn’t allow the entry of light. Inside the chamber it has a light emitter and receiver that are offset so that they can’t see each other. Upon the entry of smoke into this chamber the smoke molecules refract the internal light causing it to hit the receiver hence causing an alarm.

These units are normally connected directly to a separate FIRE panel, however they can be also to incorporated into a security system.
