ALARMNZ has approved a range of broadband IP Alarm Panels  which are designed to monitor Security/Access, Fire, Medical and General Automation Alarms via the Internet. All ALARMNZ IP ALARM panels are suitable for FTTH installations.

The IP ALARM PANEL is designed to operate on a broadband circuit without the need of a plain old telephone (POT) circuit, however some panels may include a POTS interface as a option (not essential) while most mainly rely on the broadband circuit to communicate to the alarm monitoring station because often there is no POT's circuit available. All ALARMNZ IP Alarm panels can be used for FTTH ( Fibre to the Home ) installations however we recommend that a backup alarm power supply unit ( APSU) is used to ensure the network access modem operates during power outages.

IP Alarm Panels may include an backup alarm power supply unit (APSU) that ensures continuous power to a router/modem devices during a mains power failure. Where a APSU is not included within the panel design the customer will need to install another source of backup power such as a UPS to make certain the IP Alarm panel can communicate with the central station during power outages. Please note without a backup power supply (APSU/UPS) your Alarm system is venerable to attack as the equipment is likely to be disconnected from the central alarm monitoring station when the mains power is removed.

If you have purchased a non-IP Alarm panel not listed below then you will need to install a ALARMSERVER which is designed to work with legacy and very old Alarm systems that were designed prior to the development of the Internet.
