Below is a summary of important milestones in the development of our company:

ALARMNZ announces Grade B2
Alarm monitoring certification in early 2007
After years of testing ALARM NEW ZEALAND expects
a continued release of a greater number of IP based integrated alarm products
using the the IP ALARM open standard signalling protocol developed by the
company. The rest of the world is just discovering what ALARMNZ knew years
ago, that is, VoIP and Alarms do not work reliably and should be abandoned
altogether. IP ALARM (sometimes called ContactIP) is backward and forward
compatible and is fast gaining acceptance as a brilliant multi-format
protocol rich enough to deal with any ALARM product design for the
foreseeable future.

issued Alarm New Zealand applied and became an
accredited automatic fire alarm service provider (AFASP) with the New
Zealand Fire Service. visit

ALARMNZ expands its IP Alarm monitoring service to include direct M2M monitoring in mid 2005
After an approach from one of our service
partners ALARMNZ set up a 0800SPEAKOUT line and web site that encourages the
staff or associates of ALARMNZ customers to use this service as a method to
gain feedback both anonymously or openly to improve safety and security of
their site. The online form has been improved and information gained is
investigated by a independent consultant not immediate superiors at the
client company.
Due to the increased level of inquiries from
established Alarm service and installation companies who recognise ALARMNZ
as a fully independent monitoring agency the company has set up dealership
program with benefits that either meet or exceed those of our competitors.
This program introduces for the first time "pre-paid" alarms, free
monitoring and other innovative ideas that will increase the business of the
dedicated Alarm companies who choose to join this program.
After lengthy delays ALARM NEW ZEALAND finally
released its automatic to Alarm TXT/Email service called
Mobile-Link. The company has
had for some time the ability to automatically forward Alarm messages via
SMS, FAX and email however marketing for SMS was held up due to the impact
of the PXT service which ALARMNZ now believes in the future will be
superseded by other services such as Email.
Since ALARM NEW ZEALAND began offering Alarm
monitoring services the company has been only been able to offer limited or
proprietary IP based Alarm monitoring access devices. Dubbed
SECURE-LINK
"fast" the company now has installed dedicated dual IP Alarm
concentrators able to receive signals from any ETHERNET/USB/UART embedded
device over any broadband service available. ALARMNZ would like to thank its
testing partners Vodafone NZ, M2M Australia, Telecom NZ and Pertronic
Industries NZ whose assistance together ensured the successful deployment of
this ground breaking technology.

After nearly 5 years of Fire Alarm monitoring
via the 111 service Alarm New Zealand is now able to process fire alarms
automatically direct to the N.Z. Fire service. Unlike the AFA service
offered by competitors the ALARMNZ
Fire-Link service is a
native IP based system that can be easily bundled with other services like
HVAC security, video and building services systems. Fire Alarm service
agents are know invited to register as an service agent and receive the full
benefits of a closer association with ALARMNZ

For
nearly two years ALARM NEW ZEALAND has been working with the NEW ZEALAND FIRE
SERVICE (NZFS) implementing a new Fire Alarm communication standard for New Zealand.
Alarm New Zealand has been contracted by the NZFS to participate in acceptance
testing of the new Signal Transport System and Message Handling System (STSMHS).
Our company is proud to say that this work is almost done and the STSMHS will be operational
on schedule and will be the access point for an automatic

A
Pre-programmed Alarm product introduced to the alarm installer market in
early 2004
ALARM NEW ZEALAND
states that it can best serve its customers by providing own Alarm
monitoring service and advises customers that a company owned monitoring
station is under construction and will be operational later in the year.
Because of prior commercial legal commitments by the ALARMNZ directors they
are not able to enter the Alarm monitoring business until 2001 so therefore
apologise to customers that the service can not be launched earlier.
ALARM NEW ZEALAND
alters its professional alarm services right across New Zealand encouraging
customers to use their own local alarm service provider. The "Alarm Service
Network" provides an effective integrated security alarm service nationwide
for those customers security managers who need a single point of contact
within ALARM NEW ZEALAND.
The Alarm service network means those
independent Alarm companies for the first time can work together for the
client's benefit while maintaining their own brand.
Following the purchase of a customer list from a
previous local Alarm company, ALARMNZ established its installation and
servicing operation, concentrating on the educational and commercial
business sectors. Our customer relationship
strategy is about forming the closest possible partnership with them in
security protection. Encouraging close communications helps to establish
accurately a client's needs and ensure the provision of satisfactory
solutions, which are then maintained to the highest standards.
ALARM NEW ZEALAND
finally delivers a high quality ALARM monitoring service after a lengthy
wait. The company alarm switching facility is the most modern and up to date
in the country and is already regarded as the
"Future Model of Alarm
Monitoring Services".The company
has one of the most robust alarm
monitoring centres in the country due to nearly 20 years of know how and
industry expertise. Our philosophy and construction methodology is simple,
we "mono block" which is a term used by the electronic industry to describe
a network topology that incorporates a type of redundancy that is "online"
and continuously operating rather than relying on offline unproven backup
equipment.
This new service allows ALARMNZ to monitor other
automated and communication equipment via our switching centre, notifying
customers as events occur.
Types of automation connections already undertaken by Alarm New Zealand
include scientific instrumentation, machinery, chillers, LPG, power
supplies, hatcheries, nurseries, aquariums, BMS, electric fence systems,
network routers, servers, mobile phones, PLC's, printers, gates,
ventilation and countless other applications.Most
corporate and/or commercial customers have additional on site Alarm
monitoring requirements apart from the standard security system activities.
Alarm New Zealand provides assistance to the customer on the interconnection
of this equipment such that Alarms can be integrated into the existing
call-out system based on customised response plans developed in conjunction
with our customer service team.
Many commercial customers
have recently experienced burglary attacks where phone lines have been cut
preventing signals reaching the alarm monitoring station. To meet this
threat Alarm New Zealand has developed a Alarm monitoring service called
Secure-Link. This service will come in two options "standard"
and eventually "fast", where in both cases a communications circuit is
established between the customers alarm which immediately informs the
monitoring centre if the phone line has been cut. Secure-link "standard" has
normal bandwidth, data throughput and is suited for regular security alarm
backup functions as often requested by insurers. In the future Secure-link
"fast" will have greater bandwidth via a direct ETHERNET/USB connection
allowing larger volumes of data transfer suitable for those customers who
want to centrally audit security information from access control and/or
video surveillance equipment.
The New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) after
viewing demonstrations of the ALARM New Zealand Secure-Link and recognising
the unique Alarm monitoring engineering skills of the ALARMNZ team
contracted the company the consult on the new Automatic Fire Alarm Service
Provider Computer Interface Standard (AFASPCIS) This project involved input
from various industry groups and involved over 12 months of research.
ALARM NEW ZEALAND markets the first
pre-programmed high quality Home or Business Security system the the
electrical installation business. We have a fantastic new range of
electronic security systems sold under the "ALARM
BRAND" which can be configured to the needs of most properties
without alteration.
Alarm New Zealand distributes a full range of accessories which are
available from electrical wholesalers throughout New Zealand. To assist
customers to efficiently connect these systems to our monitoring station our
24 hour Help desk provides a free technical support service to installers
nationwide. Each system includes 3-12 months of free monitoring depending on
the configuration selected
