The New Zealand Security Officers Association Incorporated works to ensure that the interests of Security Officers are clearly represented to Government; improve the conditions of employment of Security Officers; improve the level of service the industry provides to the public; comment on law and order issues; and promote safer and healthier working conditions and practices in the security industry

ASIS International has been offering an internationally recognised certification in the field of Security Management through its Certified Protection Professional (CPP) for nearly 30 years. Thousands of security professionals throughout the world have embraced this scheme to achieve certification, which has risen to be a worldwide benchmark in security management. In 2002 ASIS International introduced two further certification programmes; the Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and the Physical Security Professional (PSP).

This magazine is for the NZ security Industry and industrial sector. The average number of magazines distributed per month is 4,500. Largely a paid advertisement magazine whose rare editorial columns provide general information with some occasional helpful industry tips. The advertisements often display electronic security gadgets on offer and serve as a resource to find local suppliers.

The Association represents the industry, promotes and fosters the highest standards of efficiency, service and ethical behaviour. Has a staff dedicated to serving members. Develops and maintains codes of practice. Education and training. Assists in the setting of standards Promotes the image of members and the industry. Provides benefits to members. Provides information and advice to members. Liaises with policy makers. Represents industry's interests in respect of legislation.
